Currently we will be closed from Saturday December 14th unless you make a reservation or book an appointment. Don't worry folks, we are just waiting for the snowy weather so we can set you all up with snow shoes, cross country ski rentals, skates, hikes, indoor rock climbing and private skating parties!

Stand-Up Paddle Board Instruction Courses

STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDING COURSES!

Learn the basics privately at your own speed from one of our Certified Paddleboard Instructors!  We offer 2-3 hour private lessons throughout the summer and fall.

Fees include the instructor, paddleboard and all related equipment. After taking this Introductory SUP Lessons, you can rent from us, or take a surfing lesson (like us on Facebook for notification!!!)

Prerequisite:  No experience or swim levels required. Minimum 15 years of age.

COST = $65 +HST

We also rent these by the hour to enjoy on Lily Lake for $15.00 + tax.

Canada Day Celebrations

Lifeguards Starting at the Beaches

Hey Saint John and Surrounding Area, Lifeguards will begin beach duty as of Saturday, June 22nd and run until Monday, September 2nd!! 

The following are a list of beaches that will be supervised: 

- Lily Lake

- Fisher Lake 

- Little River Reservoir

- Dominion Park

The Daily hours of lifeguard coverage will be from 11:00am to 5:30pm. All other hours will be at own risk. We will see you at the beach this Summer!!! :)

Looking for a new and exciting extra-curricular activity for your child? We have just the thing for you. Maritime DayTripping Inc. is now offering a 8 week Rock Climbing Program for youth to encourage active, healthy lifestyles, and to teach about the advantages of safe climbing practices. 

During this program, participants will learn to "read the rock" to find appropriate climbing routes. We will also focus on different climbing techniques to progress them to more advanced climbing. More importantly this program will teach participants how to become a safe climber with proper anchor building and belaying practices. 

Come to DayTripping to learn from our experienced and certified instructions. 

Start Date: April 16, 2013

Cost: $115.00 + tax

Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm - Tuesday Evenings

Join Craig Campbell and Others on a New Spring Walking Club! 

Are you looking for new Spring motivation? Get moving with Craig and the Gang a few nights a week to train for some upcoming Nordic Walking Marathons. DayTripping are Proud Supporters of Craig's Walking Group and we have the scoop on this latest Training Session. The Walking Group is a great way to get started with the support of others to help keep you motivated. 

This will be an 8 week Program to help get you started on  your training goals for your next Marathon or Walk Achievement. The Goal in sight will be the Fredericton Half Marathon on May 12th. Craig and the Gang will help you achieve your goals and get you prepared for your next Marathon. 

Don't forget, there are many other Marathon's along the way that may interest you! Perhaps you would like to begin with the Brent Kelly 8km walk/run at the Irving Nature Park on April 27th or the International Marathon and 10km Lubec on June 23th. You could even begin preparing yourself for the Marathon By The Sea on August 11th. The possibilities for training are endless. 

Tuesdays and Thursdays meet them  at the Lily Lake Pavilion at 6:00pm. Saturday's you will be meeting at 8:30am (Sometimes later) or you can meet up with Yennah Hurley in the KV Area for a Saturday Walk in the Valley. There is NO initial registration fee. We only ask that you provide a minimum of $10.00 donation that will go to the Crescent Valley Walking Club for the purchase of equipment such as Nordic Walking Poles, Paws, Snowshoes, etc. DayTripping will be donating the Walking Club a pair of Nordic Walking Poles to help kick off the Donations! 

6th Atlantic Paddle Symposium

We're thrilled to be able announce the details of the 6th Atlantic Paddle Symposium.

Our 2013 event will bring the Atlantic Paddle Symposium back to New Brunswick and will be centered in historic Saint John.

Saint John gives us easy access to the Bay Of Fundy, the Reversing Falls, as well countless rivers, creeks and lakes. We'll have the variety of locations needed for all paddlers - novice, intermediate and advanced to develop, enhance, expand and challenge their skills.

A big thank you to all of you who attended the event in the past, and a big welcome to all newcomers.

Interested in guiding sea kayak or canoe trips?

Interested in working with the Cruise Ships?

Interested in obtaining Nationally recognized certification in the outdoor industry?

DayTripping has just the program for you.

Starting in January, Maritime DayTripping will be offering a Guide Training Program (GTP) that will run approx 1-weekend/month (plus some evenings) until May 2013. This is a comprehensive training course which covers the mechanics of paddling and rock climbing, the theory behind the coastal environment, and the leadership and risk management skills needed to guide a group safely.

This course will include possible certification with Paddle Canada and Red Cross (to those who meet the requirements). If you were to take these programs commercially outside of DayTripping’s GTP you would spend $4540-4865!!! With DayTripping - $1700 (+ HST)!!
