Winterfest- Sugar Shack Shindig!

Winterfest is Quickly Approaching: February 18th-20th 




There are going to be many great events that weekend including the Sugar Shack Shindig (family edition and adult edition) 


Family Edition: Kid-friendly games to begin the evening.  Then it’s into the Sugar Shack for a modern twist on a maritime tradition:  Kid friendly eats served in a kayak! The evening finishes of with a moonlit horse-drawn sleigh ride and maple taffy-making on the snow.
Time: 6pm-7:30
Price: $25 adult, $15 child (children under 3 are free) 
ONLY 40 TICKETS AVAILABLE 


Adult Edition: Get your heart pumping and warm up your appetite with a moonlit snowshoe in the Park.  Then back to the boathouse, which has been transformed into a Sugar Shack, for a hearty nibbler buffet, served in a kayak, with plenty of hot toddies and beverages to warm the soul.

Pavilion Cup THIS WEEKEND!

Come out and Check out the Tim Horton's Pavilion Cup this weekend.  

Schedule of events below:

Friday, February 4th
• Play begins  –  3 PM Start
• Opening Ceremonies at 6:30pm. 
• Bar in tent open at 2:00 PM – end of day
 • Food Concessions in Canteen open at 4:00 PM
• Food includes- Chili/Corn Chowder Station,  BBQ – Hot Dog & Hamburgers  
• Pavilion Cup Cash for sale in tent & foyer to purchase food, drinks, etc $4.00 
• Pavilion Cup Cash includes Hot Dog (1 hot dog with choice of chips & canned pop) combo, Hamburger (1 hamburger with choice of chips & canned pop) combo,  Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich (Saturday only – Pig Roast), Chili with a roll, Corn Chowder with a roll, Draft Beer (Canadian or Coors Light)
 • Canteen open for other  items  G 2 Sports drinks, juice, bottled water, canned pop, chips, bars, Kleenex, cough drops, hot chocolate, steamed hot dogs, nacho’s & cheese and  penny candy bags  - cash service
• DJ on site announcing teams/times/etc Set up on upper patio overlooking the lake  
• Pond Hockey Headquarters – Main Bar open for cash bar or Pavilion Cup Cash  Full bar service   open at 2 PM – 2 AM
• Foyer Upstairs- Greeting station – maps –books – Pavilion Cup Cash for sale
• Volunteer Room in Coat Check room - Open all day
• Lily’s Café open extended hours open 8:30 am – Midnight 
• 7:00 PM Games resume on ice surface
• 9:30 PM Merimac performs at Beer Garden upstairs in Main Room 
• 9:35 PM On Ice Games Finish 
• Ice maintenance following final game

Saturday, February 6th 2009
• Play begins at 10 AM
• 12:35 PM – 2 PM Lunch Break Ice Maintenance
• 2:00 PM Games resume
• Sleigh Rides at Rockwood Stables
• Hockey Canada Clinic on Public skating surface  
• Lily’s Café Open at 9 AM  - Midnight
• Tent Open at 9 AM 
• Tim Horton’s in Tent at 9 AM - noon 
• Volunteer Room open at 8:30 AM.  
• Sponsor Lounge open at 10:00 AM – Bar opens in Lounge at noon closes at 9 PM  
• Food Concessions in Canteen & bar in Tent open at 10:00 am
• Y’s Men roasting pig on site – starting early, early Saturday morning 4 am approx
• Bar in  MacMurray Room open at 10:00 am
• 4:45 PM Supper Break and Ice Maintenance
• Grab & Go Baron of Beef Buffet in MacMurray Room from 4 – 6 PM Players Only includes Roast Beef, Kaisers, Taters, Caesar Salad, Pasta Salad
• 7:00 PM Play resumes
• 8:00 PM Entertainment in MacMurray Room – Dave Myles and Friends Open Mic and Jam Session  Open to the public free of charge
• 9:35 PM  Games Finish Ice Maintenance Begins 

Sunday, February 7th 2011

• Volunteer Room open at 8:30 AM
• Sponsor Lounge open at 10 am Tea/Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Sandwiches, Cookies
• Food Concessions in Canteen and Bar Tent open at 10 am
• Bar in MacMurray Room open at 10 am
• Tim Bits Challenge (100 kids in a mini Pond Hockey tournament)
• Sleigh Rides at Rockwood Stables
• 2:00 PM Approx Finals (tentative)
• On Ice Closing Ceremonies and Cup Presentation 3 or 4 PM

Safari Casino: In support of the Cherry Brook Zoo

February 19th as Part of Winterfest Come Out and Enjoy a Fun Night of Casino Entertainment.

Tickets are $50 plus tax and include:
