Half-Marathon Nordic Walking Training





Hello there one and all,


I wanted to remind everyone that Half Marathon Training for the Fredericton Marathon in May starts on Tuesday, March 2nd. This is a 10-week program which we deliver on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:30 and on Saturday mornings at 8:30. The cost for participation is $50. This includes the manual and the daily schedule of what you need to do to be successful in crossing the finish line on May 9th in Fredericton or for late May in Ottawa. It includes your hill training, speed training and long distance training keeping you strong and fit for your race. We also have guest speakers every couple of weeks who will share excellent information to help with training and race day.


Regardless of your present fitness level you can accomplish this task with the right training and suport. It is an excellent way to get in shape while making some life long friends.


I understand that many of you are away on the first week due to March Break. Do not fret... you can pick up your manual and schedule this week and, if nothing else, read through it on your vacation so you are ready to get going when you return.  The first week consists of some short walks and a 7K walk on the Saturday. If you could do some walking through this week then you will be ready to start the following week with no problem.

  1. Congratulations, Yennah, on the work you've been doing with DayTripping! I'm really impressed with where you have taken your love for Nordic walking and fitness. You have the passion and energy to make it all happen.
