6th Atlantic Paddle Symposium

We're thrilled to be able announce the details of the 6th Atlantic Paddle Symposium.

Our 2013 event will bring the Atlantic Paddle Symposium back to New Brunswick and will be centered in historic Saint John.

Saint John gives us easy access to the Bay Of Fundy, the Reversing Falls, as well countless rivers, creeks and lakes. We'll have the variety of locations needed for all paddlers - novice, intermediate and advanced to develop, enhance, expand and challenge their skills.

A big thank you to all of you who attended the event in the past, and a big welcome to all newcomers.

Saturday, February 9th from 1pm-4pm DayTripping will be in Rothesay.
Sunday, February 10th from 1:30pm-3:30pm DayTripping will be in Quispamsis.

Guide Training Program

Interested in guiding sea kayak or canoe trips?

Interested in working with the Cruise Ships?

Interested in obtaining Nationally recognized certification in the outdoor industry?

DayTripping has just the program for you.

Starting in January, Maritime DayTripping will be offering a Guide Training Program (GTP) that will run approx 1-weekend/month (plus some evenings) until May 2013. This is a comprehensive training course which covers the mechanics of paddling and rock climbing, the theory behind the coastal environment, and the leadership and risk management skills needed to guide a group safely.

This course will include possible certification with Paddle Canada and Red Cross (to those who meet the requirements). If you were to take these programs commercially outside of DayTripping’s GTP you would spend $4540-4865!!! With DayTripping - $1700 (+ HST)!!
