Looking for a scary and thrilling adventure during this Hallows Eve Season? DayTripping has just the ghostly hike for you! Two nights only - Friday, October 26th - Saturday, October 27th. Come to DayTripping for a 45 minute hike you will never forget! Hear the creepy stories of Rockwood Park's haunted trails while hiking through the woods at night! Perhaps you might even get to see some of those who still haunt the park for yourself! It's a ghostly hike you won't want to miss this season!

HIKE TIMES: 7:00pm. 7:30pm, 8:00pm, 8:30pm, 9:00pm & 9:30pm

COST: $10.00/person taxes included

AGE: 14+

Have you ever been mesmerized by the colors of Fall? The newly fallen leaves?  The smell in the air that Fall has arrived? It's the perfect weather for a brisk walk on the many trails of Rockwood Park! At DayTripping, we can take you on guided hiking tours with Stonehammer or Nature Interpretation. Our guides know all the great locations and what a more beautiful time of year to see the park then during Fall when everything is so colorful! We can also do Nordic Walking Guided Hikes! If you have never used Nordic Walking Poles, no worries, we can show you how and then take you on your guided hike so you can give them a try! 

PRICE: $15.00/person + tax (Guide Included)

Coming with a group of 10 or more, we will lower that price to $10.00/person + tax.

Rock Climbing Course

Top-Roping & Anchor Building

This intensive two-day program is designed to teach new climbers how to safely set up top-rope rock climbs climbing areas. By the end of the 2-days participants should feel comfortable heading out on their own for a day on the rocks at crags where the top is accessible without having to lead climb. Many different anchor setups will be taught and practiced with emphasis on safety and simplicity. Proper set up of rappels will also be covered.

This course is taught a climbing instructor with 25-years experience and training by the ACMG (Association of Cdn Mountain Guides) and PCIA (Professional Climbing Instructors Association).

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Dates – Sept 29-30^th, 2012

Cost – $295 + HST

Maritime DayTripping Inc. is pleased to begin offering weekly beginner's drop-in rock climbing sessions. These sessions will be held every Thursday from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, and will cost $15.00 per person, tax included. Drop by if you feel like trying something new!

Red Cross Wilderness First Aid Training Program

Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid and Standard First Aid

These are experiential minimum 20 hour or 40 hour (Advanced Wilderness Remote First Aid) courses (more) designed for individuals who will be participating in wilderness activities within hours or days of advanced medical care. These courses will enable participants to have an appreciation for the realities of providing First Aid in a wilderness & remote environment. Emphasis will be on practical skills, decision making, and management of the outdoor environment.

What: Red Cross Wilderness Remote First Aid (+ advanced extra day option)

Where: Maritime DayTripping, Lily Lake Pavilion, Rockwood Park, Saint John, NB

When: Fri. Sept 7 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (+ homework)

Sat. Sept 8 8:00 am – overnight (camping)

Sun. Sept 9 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
